Sherry Orson began her accomplished career in the music publishing industry with Virgin Music Publishing as Manager of Creative Services. From there she moved to Universal Music Group for over a decade as Director of Creative Services where she gained extensive experience in the fields of music publishing and licensing. In 2006 she served as representation for Steven Van Zandt’s (Bruce Springsteen, The Sopranos) Renegade Nation record label and publishing company developing and securing synch licenses with advertising agencies, film and television. Sherry Orson currently represents emerging artists, unique vintage catalogs and more through her company Star Vibe Group.
Over the 10 years that Sherry spent at Universal, she garnered song placements on musical projects by such artists as Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton, Selena, Babyface, Jessica Simpson, Chaka Khan, Bette Midler and many others. Miss Orson was also responsible for securing the rights to the publishing of million selling artist Kenny Wayne Shepherd. With a passion for developing emerging songwriter/producers, she also developed Marc Nelson (composer for Babyface, Brandy, Tyrese and Toni Braxton), and was responsible for the placement of his arrangements and compositions.
Sherry has licensed music in such top brands as ABC, CBS, KFC, McDonald’s, HBO, Showtime, Hallmark, MTV, Fox, NBC, Netflix, Amazon Prime and many others.
